Touch of sugar

Actually felt som creativity coming on last saturday. Yay!
Went to see Ted at the cinema (hilarious) and then met up with some friends.. So yeah. Make up. :')
Started out with a simple brown gradient.. Then added something extra!
All brown shadows from Sleeks Au Naturel-palette. Bark, Regal, Noir, Cappuccino, Nubuck, Nougat and Taupe.
Sleens Eau La La Liner in White Noise on the waterline, and some smudged under the eye with Sugarlite from the Ultra Matts Brights-palette. <: p="p">
Oh, and I tried to take some pictures in front of my new lights, but it was too yellow so the pictures arent that good.

Oh hi. Its another make up-free post. Sorry bout that.
I just dont feel satisfied enough with the looks I've done. And have no inspiration for anything new.
I guess Im in a 'ugly' period, when everyting just seem ugly and bad.
Maybe I'll post some bad looks, maybe I'll get inspiration to do something else than the brown/netural ones I've done lately. We'll see. I'm not gone completely though. Just not as active.

Hallååå. Ännu en sminkfritt inlägg. Ledsen för det.
Jag blir bara inte nöjd med de sminkningar jag gjort. Och jag har inte inspiration till något nytt.
Är nog helt enkelt i en 'ful'period, då allt jag gör känns fult och dåligt.
Kanske lägger jag upp några dåliga sminkningar, kanske får jag inspiration till att göra något annat än de bruna/neutrala som jag gjort på senare tid. Vi får se. Jag är inte helt borta ifrån bloggen, bara lite mindre aktiv.

Quick Review: Sprout and BM Beauty

Just a quick review of some stuff I got home two weeks ago..

Another order from Cocktailcosmetics (i love that place), this time all products are from the vegan section of the store.

I was in need of a new make up remover, and a mascara. Got the lipbalm as a present. :D

Sprout Make Up Remover.

All organic, containing only three oils. Olive oil, jojoba oil and almond oil.

In a cute glas container, and the maker of this product on the backside (As I got it, Adam is the Mr. of the two who owns this company)

It removes make up really well! Have not tried it with waterproof mascara though, but I really think it would remove that too.

I also use it as a moisturiser at night. It's so lovely in every way! Love this!

Sprout Citrus Lip Balm 

The gift!

Containing only organic cocoa butter, organic coconut oil, candelilla wax, organic lemon & orange oil.

This smells kinda like white chocolate to be honest. Sweet, but not to sweet. I like it. great on the lips.

 Cost: £4.00 (The newer ones do contain beeswax)

 BM Beauty Lash Curling Mascara

Not the greatest mascara I've tried, but its ok. A bit of a spiderleg-warning and it's a bit too wet for my taste..

Positive side is that it does not smudge, it lasts all day and keeps the lashes nice and soft.

This one apperently contains beeswax, so its not really suiteble for vegans
No swatch here, but I used it the last few posts, and will use it in the comming posts ^^

Raise your paw

Hi!
Lush and the Animal Right Alliance has join togheter to fight the usage of animal fur.
At the Lush homepage, and at lush-stores all around Sweden (dont know about other contries, Finland had this soap too) you can but the Wolfs Paw-Soap to contribute to the fight against the fur industry.
In stores you can sign a petition, and press your handprint on the stores window, to show your support.
I  wanted to sign the petition, I wanted to press my hands, but there is no Lush-store where I live.
So I ordered two soaps, and made a friend who has the Lush-store close by to sign the petition for me. :D

Lush och Djurrätssalliansen har slagit ihop för att fighta pälsindustrin.
Via lush hemsida, och i alla lushbutiker landet runt (Vet inte hur det är i andra länder, men Finland har också tvålen) så kan du köpa en Vargtass-tvål för att bidra till kampen mot päls.
I butikerna kan du skriva i en namninsamling, och trycka din tass på butikens fönster för att visa din protest.
Jag ville verkligen fylla i namninsamlingen, jag ville trycka dit min tass på fönstren, men staden jag bor i har ingen Lushbutik. Så jag beställde två tvålar, och fick en av mina vänner som bor i närheten av en Lushbutik att fylla i namnlistan åt mig. :D

Everytime you order something from Lush (atleast here in Sweden) you get to pick three free testees (eeee) from a list of 10-20 products.

My choices this time was:

Dark Angels: A coarse facial scrub for a oily face. I. LOVE. THIS. So awesome!

Eau Roma Water: Smells nice. Not sure if its made a differens. Like it anyway.

Slammer: Showergel that really refreshing. Says it can cure hangovers or as a energyboost when our down.

Have not tried it, smells amazing though.

Dark Angels: En väldigt grovkorning ansiktsskrubb för oljig hy. Jag älskar den! Så fantastisk!

Eau Roma Water: Luktar gott. Vet inte om det gjort så mycket skillnad. Gillar den ändå.

Slammer: Duschgel som ska vara riktigt uppfriskande. Säger att den kan hjälpa mot en bakfylla eller som en energiboost när du är lite nere. Har inte testat, men den luktar helt fantastiskt.

Editing. Thoughts?

Since MadamNoir did a post on how she edits her pictures and so on, I thought I would do the same.
Im actually that kind of person that could stop following a persons blog if I think they edit their pictures way too much.
I see it as cheating. Not always, but sometimes. Blur can make the edges of the makeup be really really smooth, and maybe they are. Maybe they are really rough and uneven. Who knows?
If someone edits their skin a bit, when they have skin issues, its ok. I have no problem with that.
Dont get why you should edit a perfect skin to be even more perfect, thats just insane.

If the face is too perfect, the edges is too perfect, what else could have change? How does this picture really look?
Editing can do alot, and perhaps too much.

So. I keep it simple. Im lazy, I have bad skin, my eyebrows are growing everywhere. And you get to see all that loveliness ;)
And I use a simple digital camera (a Casio Exilim Ex-H15 to be exact) to take my pictures. It does not take the best pictures in the world, compared to a system camera.
But frankfully. I dont want to buy an expensive system camera just to take photos of my eyes. I rather buy more makeup or go on a trip ;P

MadamNoir lade nyligen upp ett inlägg om hur hon redigerar sina bilder, tankar osv. Så jag tänkte jag skulle göra detsamma.
Jag är nog tyvärr en sådan person som kan sluta följa en persons blogg om jag tycker att denne redigerar sina bilder alldeles för mycket.
Jag ser det som ett fusk. Inte alltid, men ibland. Oskärpa i kanterna kan få uttoningen att se väldigt väldigt mjuk ut. Och kanske är den mjuk. Kanske är den hård, ojämn och fläckig. Vem vet?
Om någon redigerar sin hy, då de har lite problemhy, det har jag inga problem med.
Däremot förstår jag inte varför man redigerar en perfekt hy till att bli ännu mer perfekt. Det är ju bara galet.

Om hyn är för perfekt. Om kanterna är för perfekta. Vad mer kan ha blivit redigerat då? Hur ser den här bilden ut egentligen? 
Redigering kan göra mycket. Och kanske för mycket.

Så. Jag håller det enkelt. Jag är lat, har dålig hy, och mina ögonbryn växer lite överallt. Och ni får se allt det fantastiska ;)
Jag använder en vanlig digitalkamera (Casio Exilim EX-H15 för att vara exakt) för att ta mina bilder. Den tar inte de bästa bilderna i världen, om man jämför med en systemkamera. 
Men för att vara ärlig. Jag vill inte köpa en dyr systemkamera bara för att ta kort på mina ögon. Jag köper hellre mer smink eller åker på en resa ;P

Make up done, pictures taken, click click, on to the computer, open up Photoshop CS6, crop the pic.
Then the boring part. Here's last posts make up.

I hate mascara dots. Healing tool will take them away if I forgot before taking pictures.

 If the picture has the right coloring, I will just use Levels. To make some contrasts pop.
If the colouring is not awesome, I just use the Photo Filter and find the right filter.

Going Rouge

Im having a terrible cold atm, but I forced myself to edit some photos so I could show you my latest look.
The main reason I bought the Eau La La Liner pencil in Rouge was to use it as a eyebrow pencil. I really wanted to rock some awesome red brows. So I did. It kinda looks like the last red brow-look I wore, but without the purple.
But green and red are so yummy togheter..
Oh well. Here's the look!

Jag är helt fruktansvärt förkyld för tillfället, men jag tvingade mig själv att redigera lite foton så jag kunde visa er min senaste sminkning. 
Störtsta anledningen till att jag köpte Eau La La Liner pennan i Rouge var för att jag skulle kunna ha den som ögonbrynspenna. Jag ville verkligen börja rocka lite fantastiska röda bryn. Så jag gjordet. Den ser lite ut som den senaste röda bryn-looken jag gjorde, men utan lila.
Men rött och grönt är så mysiga tillsammans..
Jaja. Här är det ett gäng bilder på det iaf..

I started out with a simple look, with no sharp liner or wing (OMG!) 

But since I am I, apparently, I cant not simply walk through life without a wing.

The Eau La La liners in White Noise and Rouge.

I loooove the fact that the tops of the pencils have the colour. A really visable colour. It makes it so much easier to find them amongst other pencils. :D

As you might se, the pencils seems to be different in the design.. I dont know why. Also the white pencil was in plastic, the red one was not.
The red tip had broken inside the pencil and fallen out a bit, when I pushed in back it got the look it has on the pictures.. Hm. Felt like I got a Lemon with the red one..

The liners them selfs I have no issues with. They are a bit hard, so the tip of my white broke off, but I just pushed it on again and it was usable.
Great pigmentation with no effort. Both colours works really well on the waterline and says on really good.
Rouge is a bit more softer, and works better on the lip than White Noise. White Noise looks a little bit chalkier on the lip than Rouge.
Both pencils are really easy to sharpen.
All in all, great pencils!

Sorry bout the weird colour..

The lighter matte colours are not as pigmented as the rest, but they work fine when in a make up. It is a naturel palette after all. 

Conker is more pigmented than what my swatch says, and the darker shadows are diviiiiine!

The lighter ones works exellent to blend out the darker ones with. Yum. 

Overall, great palette!

Bolt

First try with only the new palettes. Both au Naturel and Brights.
I get overwhelmed when I get so many new colours to use, so I kept it simple so my brain wouldnt die.
<: p="p">Used Bolt on the eyelid, Chill in the innercorner.
Bark in the crease and blended it up and out with Nubuck and Cappuccino and used Nougat as a highlighter.
Eau la la liner in white noise on the waterline, topped with Bolt.

Första försöker med bara de nya paletterna. Både au Naturel och Brights.
Jag blir så himla överrumplad med så mycket nya färger att använda, så jag gjorde det simpelt för att slippa ett totalt hjärnsläpp <: font="font">
Använde Bolt på ögonlocket, Chill i öronvrån. Satte Bark i i glodlinjen, och suddade det utåt och uppåt med hjälp av Nubuck och Capucccino. Sedan Nougat som highlighter. 
Eau la la liner i white noise på våtlinjen, och toppade med Bolt över det.
