Aah I was obsessed when I saw this palette come out. I 'always' had such a crush on the Wicked Witch of the West, and then I read the book Wicked and my love for Elphaba (which she is called in the book) grew stronger. (Such a great book btw, read it!) And feel my disappointment and horror when Urban Decay wont ship to Sweden (or outside the US?). The horror. The horrooooor... And then it showed up on BeautyBay.com. And now its mine. So happy. Enough with the blabla, on with the swatches. Is'nt it gorgeous?!
Jag har varit besatt av den här paletten sedan den kom ut. Jag har 'alltid' haft sådan crush på the Wicked Witch of the West, och sedan läste jag boken Wicked och min kärlek för Elphaba (som hon kallas i boken) växte större. (Sjukt bra bok btw, läs den!) Känn min besvikelse och skräck när Urban Decay inte fraktar till Sverige (eller utanför usa?). Skräcken. Skrääääcken.. Sedan dök den upp på BeautyBay.com. Och nu är den min. Så glad. Nog med ord, mer swatches. Är den inte vacker?!
The palette and the box it came in
All shadows are swatched on NYX HD Eyeshadoe Base at the top, and on bare skin lower down
(I swatched them in the wrong order, sorry ;P)
Broken is the perfect highlight, atleast for me. Reflects beautifully.
Bewitch is a satin brown, also on the colder side. Taupe mayhaps?
Beware is a matte, warm brown. Really pigmented and smooth for a matte shadow!
West is a metallic, a bit more shimmery than Bewitch. Also darker with a slight red sheen.
Duoshadows
Spell 1 is a black with golden sparkles. Not sure if its matte with lots of golden shimmer or if its a shimmery shadow ^^. Pretty but this one is the least pigmented of the bunch.
Spell 2 is a warm golden shimmershadow with golden sparkles in it.
Jealous 1 is a pearl medium dark green with a slight golden sheen.
Jealous 2, also a pearl, a lighter green. Kind of looks duochrome? Not sure. Lovely though.
Super-Saturated High Gloss Lip Color in Theodora is a lipstick in a pencil shape. Beautiful glossy red, easy to apply allthough I use a brush to get those sharp edges. Pigmented. Lovely.
Im reaaally happy I bought this one! It was over my price limit, but for four full shadows, four half shadows, a liner and a lipstick, its so worth it. And you can reuse the beautiful palette for other shadows :D
Jag är riiiiktigt glad över att jag köpte den här! Den var lite över min prisgräns, men för fyra hela skuggor, fyra halva skuggor, en kajal och ett läppstift så är det värt det. Plus att man kan återanvända paletten för andra skuggor :D
